Terms and Conditions for skate party rental of the Marlborough Hall
You get 1.5 hours of Roller Blading in the main hall.
You have 15 mins preparation time in the café area before the party.
Then 15 mins tidy up time after the party.
You have exclusive use of the Hall and café area for the duration of your party.
You can have up to 30 skaters included with the party price.
If you require over 30 skaters then the cost is £3 for each extra skater.
The additional skaters can be paid for on the day of the party, please ask for a receipt.
We have Fisher Price, Quads and In-lines skates for your use, although own skates can be worn.
You have full use of the fully equipped kitchen for your own catering.
There is an OVEN AVAILABLE BUT PLEASE NO FROZEN PRODUCTS (frozen products take too long to cook in your party time and may not be ready in time.)
Music is provided.
We provide one member of staff to assist you during your party, they will hand out skates and oversee general safety.
Roller blading like all sports can be dangerous. Novices will possibly require individual supervision for which you will be responsible. We do have safety equipment so please request this.
Adults may skate but do so at their own risk.
You must provide adequate adult supervision for all children. Only persons over 18 can supervise.
There must be no less than 1 adult supervising every 10 children skating in the hall, if you cannot supply these numbers, we may have to limit the number skating at any one time. You must wear socks if using our boots.
You are responsible for your guests including their behaviour.
Provisional bookings can be made over the phone, online or in person but you must get confirmation of time and date of the party.
A deposit of £50 is required when booking a skating party.
The deposit is Non-refundable
The balance of £85 must be paid no later than one week before the party. A text reminder will be sent. Parties not paid for in full 7 days before may be subject to cancellation.
Parties are intended for children under 14.
Although parties for older children/adults can be arranged at a cost of £160 for up to 25 guests and £4 for extras, but strictly no alcohol.
Halifax YMCA reserve the right to cancel a party at anytime but will endeavour to give as much notice as possible.
